DECLARING WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20, 2006, AS SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF DINGRAS, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE
WHEREAS, Wednesday, September 20, 2006, marks the Josefa Llanes Escoda Day in the Municipality of Dingras, Ilocos Norte;
WHEREAS, Josefa Llanes Escoda is regarded and recognized as a national heroine due to her heroic deeds during World War II;
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Dingras, Ilocos Norte be given full opportunity to celebrate the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, EDUARDO R. ERMITA, Executive Secretary, by authority of Her Excellency, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, do hereby declare Wednesday, September 20, 2006, as special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Dingras, Province of Ilocos Norte.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
