[ Proclamation No. 281, June 28, 1988 ]
DECLARING FRIDAY, JULY 1, 1988, AS A SPECIAL HOLIDAY IN THE PROVINCE OF SOUTHERN LEYTE
WHEREAS, July 1, 1988 marks the 28th Charter Anniversary of the Province of Southern Leyte; and
WHEREAS, the residents in the said province should be afforded an opportunity to celebrate this milestone in their provinces history with appropriate ceremonies;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, July 1, 1988, as a special holiday in the Province of Southern Leyte.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
Done in the City of Manila, this 28th day of June in the year of Our Lord nineteen hundred and eighty-eight.
