[ Proclamation No. 1077, September 15, 1972 ]

DECLARING THE YEAR 1973 AS NATIONAL ACCOUNTANCY YEAR

WHEREAS, the public accountancy profession in the Phil­ippines will observe its fiftieth year in nineteen hundred and seventy-three; and

WHEREAS, the accountancy profession in the Philippines, considered more advanced among the countries in the Far East and Southeast Asia, has played a vital role, and continues to play a vital role in the proper and ef­ficient management of business and finance both in the public and private sector;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the year nineteen hundred and seventy-three as National Accountancy Year.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 15th day of September in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-two.
