Declaring August 8 of Every Year as "Lupon Day" in Lupon Davao Oriental

BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES
[ Proclamation No. 105, May 11, 1987 ]
DECLARING AUGUST 8 OF EVERY YEAR AS “LUPON DAY” IN LUPON DAVAO ORIENTAL.
WHEREAS, August 8 marks the foundation anniversary of the Municipality of Lupon, Davao Oriental; and
WHEREAS, the residents of Lupon, Davao Oriental, should be given opportunity to celebrate the event with fitting ceremonies;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare August 8 of every year as “Lupon Day” in Lupon, Davao Oriental. The day however, shall be a regular working and school day.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
DONE in the City of Manila, this 11th day of May, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and eighty-seven.
