MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR AMENDING MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 001, S. 2004

In consonance with the power and authority vested in the National Tobacco Administration (NTA) to regulate the tobacco industry, Memorandum Circular No. 01, series of 2004, is hereby amended, pursuant to NTA Board Resolution No. 078, s. 2005, as follows:

I. License/Permit Fee (Annual) 1. Exportation PhP 7,500.00 2. Importation 7,500.00 II. Processing Fee (Per Application) 1. Export/Import Commodity Clearance PhP 300.00 2. Export Commodity Clearance with Certificate of 1,000.00 Authenticity/origin/ Moisture Content III. Monitoring, Regulation, Supervision and/or Evaluation Fee, per shipment basis:

A. Manufactured Products 1. Cigarettes (Per Case) a. Transhippers Export PhP 10.00 b. Domestic Manufacturers Importation 10.00 c. Importations of Others That Are Not Domestic 20.00 Manufacturers 2. Cigars (Per Piece) a. Export PhP 0.10 b Import 0.20 B. Unmanufactured and Wholly and/or Partially Processed Leaf Tobacco (in conventional cargo, packed in bobbins, boxes, bags, sacks, crates, etc.) 1. Exporters Other Than Domestic Cigar/Cigarette PhP 0.10, per net Manufacturers kilo2. Importers Other Than Domestic Cigar/Cigarette 3.00, per net kilo Manufacturers Repealing Clause - This Circular supersedes all other orders and/or circulars issued inconsistent herewith. Effectivity - This Circular shall take effect fifteen (15) days after the publication in one (1) newspaper of general circulation and filling with the Office of the National Administrative Register (ONAR), UP Law Center.
