Memorandum Order No. 753 (1982)

[ Memorandum Order No. 753, May 17, 1982 ]

In view of the worsening land controversies in Surigao del Sur and for the speedy settlement of such cases, there is hereby created an inter-agency committee to be composed by the following:

Presidential Regional, Officer for Development | – | Chairman Provincial Governor Ministry of Human Settlements | – | Member Provincial Action Officer Ministry of Agrarian Reform | – | Member District Officer Ministry of Agriculture | – | Member District Office Bureau of Forest Development | – | Member District Office | – | Member Municipal Mayors concerned | – | Members Representatives of parties affected | – | Members

It shall be the responsibility of the committee to conduct in-depth investigations and to recommend solutions to the land problems. It shall also undertake extensive land surveys, census and come up with a program for those settlers who may be displaced.

The findings/recommendations shall then be submitted to the Presidential Management Staff not later than June 30, 1982.

This order shall take effect immediately.
