[ Memorandum Order No. 323, October 1, 1990 ]

CREATING A NATIONAL COMMITTEE TO TAKE CHARGE OF THE OFFICIAL VISIT OF HIS EXCELLENCY, PRESIDENT VACLAV HAVEL OF THE CZECH AND SLOVAK FEDERAL REPUBLIC ON NOVEMBER 10–11, 1990.

There is hereby created a National Committee to take charge of the arrangements connected with the official visit of His Excellency, President Vaclav Havel of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic on November 10–11, 1990 to be composed of:

Yan The Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs | Chairman The Honorable The Undersecretary of Public Works & Highways | Member The Honorable The Undersecretary of National Defense | Member The Honorable The Undersecretary of Education, Culture & Sports | Member The Honorable The Undersecretary of Tourism | Member The Honorable The Undersecretary of Budget and Management | Member The Honorable The Undersecretary, Office of the Press Secretary | Member The Honorable The Chief of Presidential Protocol | Member-Secretary The Honorable The Assistant Secretary for Protocol Department of Foreign Affairs | Member

The Committee shall be responsible for the planning, coordination and smooth execution of all arrangements to be made in connection with the official visit.

The Committee is authorized to call upon any department, bureau, office, agency or any instrumentality of the government, including government-owned and controlled corporations, for such assistance as it may need in discharging its duties and functions. The Committee is likewise authorized to create sub-committees as necessary.

This Memorandum Order takes effect immediately.
