CREATING A NATIONAL COMMITTEE TO TAKE CHARGE OF THE STATE VISIT OF HIS EXCELLENCY HUSSAIN MUHAMMAD ERSHAD, PRESIDENT OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF BANGLADESH
There is hereby created a National. Committee to take charge of the arrangements for the State Visit of His Excellency Hussain Muhammad Ershad, President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, to be composed of the following:
The Honorable Raul S. Manglapus Secretary of Foreign Affairs | Chairman The Honorable Fidel V. Ramos Secretary of National Defense | Co-Chairman The Honorable Manuel T. Yan Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs | Member The Honorable Jose F. Mabanta Undersecretary of Public Works & Highways | Member The Honorable Felicia.no M. Gacis, Jr. Undersecretary of National Defense | Member The Honorable.Victor M: Ordoñez Undersecretary of Education, Culture and Sports | Member The Honorable Raul Boncan Undersecretary of Trade and Industry | member The Honorable Narzalina Z. Lim Undersecretary of Tourism | Member The Honorable Jesus C. Beringuela Undersecretary of Budget & Management | Member The Honorable Felix B. Bautista Press Undersecretary | Member The Honorable Sergio A. Barrera Chief of Presidential Protocol | Member The Honorable Clemencio F. Montesa Director-General for Protocol Department of Foreign Affair | Member
The Committee shall be responsible for the planning, coordination, and smooth execution of all arrangements to be made in connection with the State Visit.
The Committee is authorized to call upon any department, bureau, office, agency or any instrumentality of the government, including government-owned and controlled corporations,- for such assistance as it may need in discharging its duties and functions. The Committee is likewise authorized to create*sub-committee as necessary.
This accordingly amends Memorandum Order No. 244 dated July 14, 1989 regarding this same matter.
This Memorandum Order takes effect immediately.
