MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 162

CREATING A NATIONAL COMMITTEE TO TAKE CHARGE OF THE OFFICIAL VISIT OF HIS EXCELLENCY FELIPE GONZALEZ, PRESIDENT OF THE GOVERNMENT OF SPAIN.

There is hereby created a National Committee to take charge of the arrangements connected with the Official Visit of His Excellency FELIPE GONZALEZ, PRESIDENT OF THE GOVERNMENT OF SPAIN to be composed of the following:

The Honorable Sedfrey A. Ordoñez Secretary of Justice | Chairman The Honorable Manuel T. Yan Undersecretary of Foreign Affairs | Member The Honorable Teodoro G. Gener Undersecretary of Public Works and Highways | Member The Honorable Fortunato U. Abat Undersecretary of National Defense | Member The Honorable Victor M. Ordoñez Undersecretary of Education, Culture and Sports | Member The Honorable Narzalina Z. Lim Undersecretary of Tourism | Member The Honorable Danilo A. Gozo Deputy Press Secretary | Member The Honorable Miguel Perez-Rubio Chief of Presidential Protocol | Member-Secretary The Honorable Romeo A. Arguelles Assistant Secretary for Protocol, Department of Foreign Affairs | Member

The Committee shall be responsible for the planning, coordination and smooth execution of all arrangements to be made in connection with the Official Visit.

The Committee is authorized to call upon any department, bureau, office, agency or any instrumentality of the government, including government-owned and controlled corporations, for such assistance as it may need in discharging its duties and functions. The Committee is likewise authorized to create sub-committees as necessary.

This Memorandum Order takes effect immediately.
