MODIFYING THE RATES OF DUTY ON CERTAIN IMPORTED ARTICLES AS PROVIDED UNDER PRESIDENTIAL DECREE

NO. 1464, AS AMENDED, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE TARIFF AND CUSTOMS CODE OF 1978 Pursuant to the powers vested in me by Section 401 of the Tariff and Customs Code, as amended, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby direct and order:

Section 1. The rates of import duty under heading Nos. 56.01 and 56.02 of the Code are hereby amended to read as follows: 56.01 Man-made fibers (discontinuous) not carded, combed or otherwise prepared for spinning: 1981 1982 1983 1984 1985 100 x x x x 200 Polyester fibers . . ad 20% 30% 30% val. Section 2. This Order shall take effect on January 1, 1984.
