An Act Empowering Justices of the Peace to Appoint Guardians "Ad Litem" for Incapacitated Litigants

AN ACT EMPOWERING JUSTICES OF THE PEACE TO APPOINT GUARDIANS "AD LITEM" FOR INCAPACITATED LITIGANTS
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Philippines in
Legislature assembled and by the authority of the same:
Section 1. Justices of the peace in the regularly organized municipalities as well as in the municipal districts and townships are hereby empowered to appoint guardian or guardians ad litem for litigants in their courts who are incapacitated by being of minor age or mentally incapable.
Section 2. All acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This Act shall take effect on its approval.
