Onerous Contract
O

An onerous contract is characterized by the exchange of equivalent values between the contracting parties. For each party, the cause or reason for entering into the contract is the prestation or promise of a thing or service by the other party. Cause is an essential requisite of a contract.

In this type of contract, both parties are bound to give something or render some service. This involves a mutual exchange of relative values.
