Contract of Antichresis
C

A contract of antichresis grants the creditor the right to receive the fruits of the debtor's immovable property. The creditor is obligated to apply these fruits to the payment of interest, if any, and then to the principal amount of the credit.

For the contract of antichresis to be valid, the principal loan and any interest must be specified in writing. Otherwise, the contract is void.
